Leaders

What does it take to be a leader? In our history we have had a lot of leaders, some made the world a better place, others brought it to its knees. Even so these leaders have to be strong and take the risk. leader know that you cannot win every war and fight  every battle, that sometimes you have to step back to see the bigger picture. At the end of the day a leader should be able to go back and know that He/She has done everything in his power.

One of the greatest leaders in this world was Abraham Lincoln.y Lincoln was just 16th President of the United State. Lincoln was also an offer during the American Civil War. During this time Lincoln keep the people together and was the reason the nation did not fall apart. Lincoln know what was the challenge, and he meet it and exceeded it.

A leader must be knowledgeable and know how to use that knowledge to defeat his/her enemy. Not all wars are fought with guns and knife, but with words and knowledge. At the same time you can have all the knowledge in the world and not be leader. You must learn how to use to knowledge you have be give to you're vintage. But a leader is nothing without his/her follower.

Last month I had an opportunity to attend a young leaders of America seminar, also call students in action. There I learn what it takes to be a leader. act student infections there are three pillars, leadership, Engagement and Impact. You must develop your leadership skills, and understand that a group of people or an individual has the power to impact the world for the better. John Maxwell ones said " A leader  is one who knows the way, goes the  away, and shows the way".

It takes many things to be a leader. You must be willing to put yourself on the line to leave those who can't see the way. A leader is someone that work towards a goal knowing that every step of the way he/she is making an impact in someone's life. There are many types of leaders some work towards something in a positive light , and others work towards  something in a dark light. Leaders have to be able to able to carry everything on their shoulder, and still stand up tall, also knowing that sometime it's better to walk away then to stay and fight.

My Favorite Quote

                                    Our Greatest Fear

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's no just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others."

The Attack on 9/11

The attack that  happened on 9/11 was one that shook this nation to it's core. On that day 4 planes were hijacked, two hit the Twin Towers ,one hit a wink of the peninsula , and one crash landed. There was a total of 3000 life that was lost that day. Because of the attack security around America has been tightened at airport and in subway. In the city you'll see more cops, and some time bomb sniffing dogs. This attack has changed America in more than one way.
